Revelation 13 is one of the most heavily speculated upon chapters in the Bible.  This maybe largely because of the incredible seven headed beast this chapter begins with, and the mysterious number of the beast it ends with.  There are many different interpretations regarding these beasts floating around with the vast majority of them centering on a revived Roman Empire, which you should know by now is never going to happen.  While a number of these interpretations may sound good and force a number of things to fit, extremely few of them name the correct participants in this chapter.  The fact of the matter is we are so close to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ that almost all things given in scripture that deal with the time before His coming have been fulfilled.  Because most of these interpretations do not know who the participants of end times Bible prophecy are, almost nobody sees the prophecies that are being fulfilled right before our very eyes.  If you don’t know who the players are, it makes it extremely difficult to understand the play.  If you can’t follow the play, how are you going to know when it is about to end?

With that being said, hopefully the explanations here will give you a clear understanding of what our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ has revealed to us through the Holy Spirit and the Apostle John.  When you see how precisely our Savior revealed to us the things to come, it’s hard not to marvel even though we know He is all knowing; even knowing the end from the beginning!  What’s really hard to believe is how anyone could even suggest that God does not exist!

The interpretation of this chapter will be done on a verse by verse basis.  We will take a look into the original Greek meanings of words and explore other scripture to arrive at a clearer understanding of this chapter.  With that being said please keep in mind that the book of Revelation is signified, meaning it is full of metaphors.

Revelation 13:1 (KJV)

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

“And I stood” does not mean what most would automatically surmises it to mean when reading this verse.  It makes perfect sense to you because next you read “upon the sand of the sea,” but that is not what one would think at first glance either.

If we look up the original Greek for stood in Vines Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words it shows,

Usage Notes: “to make to stand,” “to appoint,” “to put forward,” or to “single out or point out.”

The usage in this verse would be closer to “to make stand out” as in I’m going to single out or put forward something for a closer examination.  This is exactly what we see happening in the very first verse of this chapter.

The “sand of the sea” is also figurative.  In almost every verse in the Bible that uses the “sand of the sea,” it refers to a very large multitude of people.  In Genesis 32:12 God promises Jacob to make his seed as the “sand of the sea.”  However, as stated earlier, in Bible prophecy waters, seas, waves, rivers, and floods refer to various people or groups of people.  Since the sea in this verse must represent an extremely large amount of people, then the sand would be an adjective which further describes what kind of people make up this beast he saw rising up out of the sea.

This sand metaphor is found in Mathew 7:24-27; the parable about the foolish man that built his house upon a foundation of sand.  In this case Jesus is pointing out the foolish people that make up the sea, the ones that will build their kingdom on sand which will soon crumble and fall, rather than on the rock, Jesus Christ.

As we touched on in the previous chapter, a beast is a man without the love of God in his heart. This can be one man, a group of men or an entire kingdom or empire of men.  Most often it refers to an empire or kingdom.  Seeing a beast rise up out of the sea is speaking to a group of ungodly men uniting to build a kingdom or empire.  “Having seven heads” means this beast is made up of seven different kingdoms, but only one is being made to stand out or be singled out.  In Biblical times as well as current Middle-Eastern jargon, a horn refers to strength as in the strength of a goat or a ram is its horn.  It refers to a leader or person with power; while a crown would further describe the horn in telling us what kind of power the leader possesses.  A “crown” means a king or dictator, someone who has the final say in any matter as opposed to a president or prime minister that is subject to others in power, such as other controlling bodies of government.  The fact that this beast has many heads (kingdoms) and horns tells us we are looking at an area of land over an extended period of time.  In Revelation 17:3 we see this same beast except the crowns are missing.  This directs us to the current day area of the Middle Eastern Islamic countries that are ruled by kings, dictators and presidents that lost some of their power recently when a new Islamic Khalifa was appointed.  When a Khalifa comes to power, he becomes the ultimate authority over everything Islam. This means that even though other Muslim countries have a leader, that leader is now subject to the Khalifa. All Muslims are to pledge their allegiance to him and do whatever he asks. To a Muslim the Khalifa is Allah in the flesh.

The kingdom being singled out here has to be the seventh kingdom.  The beast could not have seven heads if the previous six had not already made their appearance.  The seven kingdoms which represent the seven heads that at one time controlled this geographical area in chronological order are laid out for you in the chart below.

Why did these seven kingdoms have 10 horns and 10 crowns?  The reason the Greek Empire was given 4 horns and 4 crowns was prophesied in Daniel 8:8. This verse speaks of Alexander’s Greek Empire which was represented by the he goat.  Remember, Alexander the Great died at a very early age (the great horn was broken) and his kingdom was divided among his four Generals.  Each one of these 4 generals accounts for one horn and one crown.

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

Revelation 13:2 introduces us to the leopard, bear and lion that are listed in the Beast with 7 Heads chart above.  Notice how they are listed in reverse order of appearance telling us that this is a new beast that can be likened to the previous three.  Also notice how the descriptions as well as the territory covered do not fit the Roman Empire, which was pointed out in chapter 1 of this book.

Revelation 13:2 (KJV)

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Now a beast is being singled out, and we are told that this beast has characteristics of each of the previous 3 beasts, which makes this beast a very formidable beast.   Since it says it was “like unto,” it means this beast is just like these previous beasts in each of the ways mentioned.  We are told he is like a leopard, with the feet of a bear and the mouth of a Lion.  As shown in the chart above, the leopard is the Greek Empire, the feet of a bear is the Media-Persian Empire, and the Lion represents the Babylonian Empire.  All three of these kingdoms are kingdoms of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.  It only stands to reason that the beast being singled out here must be the fourth or next kingdom of that dream.  This is the fourth kingdom of Daniel 2:40 which tells us this is the “Iron Kingdom” which breaks “all these;” meaning the previously mentioned kingdoms.

*****This is where the misconception is put forth that the fourth & fifth empires of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream are the Roman Empire and the Return of the Roman Empire.  Actually, as was revealed earlier, it is the Islamic / Ottoman Empire, established by the false prophet that came out of the desert.  The very same one Christ warned us about in Mathew 24:24-26.

There are different ways the comparisons in this verse could be made, but since the comparisons were made to specific parts of the animals, that is what we will look at.

  • Like unto a leopard – The leopard is an extremely skillful hunter. It is territorial and hunts during the night.  It is very cunning and can overcome its victims in a number of ways.  It may overtake its prey with its sheer speed and quickness.  It may hide up in a tree waiting for an unsuspecting victim to leap upon.  It may just hide out of sight and ambush its prey.  Once it has its prey within the grasp of its very strong claws, there is very little chance of escape.
  • Feet of a bear – The bear’s feet are known mainly for one characteristic, strength.  A bears feet and legs are very powerful.  It also has sharp claws that allow it to hold its prey.  Because of his strength a bear will take on foes that are larger than he is, just as Muslim armies would do in the past.  We also see this with ISIS and its killing of citizens of nations that are far more powerful than ISIS.
  • Mouth of a Lion – The lion is also a skillful hunter, but it does not hunt alone; it hunts in packs.  Can you say “Terror Cells? A lion does not try to rip off the head of its prey with its mouth.  It uses its mouth to apply pressure to the trachea of its prey and holds it until it suffocates.

From the characteristics listed above, it is obvious this is a very formidable kingdom. Individually, each one of these animals is very deadly and should be avoided.  However, this beast has the deadly qualities of all three put together.  Do these descriptions bring thoughts of the Roman Empire into your mind?  No, these are not descriptions of the Roman Empire.  The Romans did not conquer people and then force them to accept Roman law or religion or language as the analogy of the lion, bear, and leopard suggest.  In fact, as you were informed previously, the Romans didn’t even conquer the Greek Empire, they absorbed it.  The Greek Empire became so corrupt it died and Rome took it in.  The language of business in the Roman Empire was Greek.  The Jews were allowed to govern using their laws as long as they paid their tribute and behaved themselves.  The Romans were known as builders not destroyers; they didn’t hide and wait to leap out on someone to destroy them.  The Romans practiced an entirely different military strategy than the Islamic Armies.

No, these are not descriptions of the Roman Empire or Roman practices; these are descriptions of the Islamic Empire.  Mohamed got his start by lying in wait and ambushing caravans, stealing their goods and splitting the booty among his partners in crime.  The women were taken as slaves and the men that would not convert to Islam were either taken as slaves or killed.  His followers became rich quickly and that attracted lots of new recruits. This is why his religion grew so quickly.

When the Islamic Army grew their military tactics evolved.  If they were not able to contend with the walls of a walled city they would lay siege to it, allowing nothing into the city.  This was the strategy used in the fall of Jerusalem.  Like the lion that suffocates his prey, no food or water were allowed in until the Jews surrendered the city.

When dealing with a larger army Muslims would whittle down the army using a hit and run technique.  Using their cavalry they would determine the enemy’s weakest wing and attack it.   Then they would run before the army could counter attack.  They would repeat this process until the enemy was weak enough for them to perform a full scale frontal assault.  Muslims were known for their horsemanship.  (The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse)  Muslim armies were using saddles long before the other Asian and European armies implemented their use.  Saddles give the rider a firmer base, allowing the Muslim cavalry to stay on their horses better when fighting, attacking or fleeing.

Any area Muslims conquered, they held in their claws like a leopard, and didn’t allow it to escape.  Their religion, customs, and language were forced upon their captives with the strength of a bear. If they didn’t comply they were introduced to a life of slavery, forced to meet the executioner’s sword, or crucified.  The Islamic conquests were carried out in much the same manner a lion kills its prey by pinching the trachea with its powerful jaws until death is accomplished.  When the lion’s mouth of Islam got its jaws around their victim’s neck they had two choices.

  • Refuse to confess Allah as god and die a physical death here on earth
  • Make Allah their god and die a spiritual death for all eternity

Let’s not forget the last part of this verse “the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”  The dragon is a serpent or snake and this brings us back to the Garden of Eden where the serpent (Satan) deceived Eve into eating the forbidden fruit.  It is Satan that gives this kingdom its power, its base or seat, and great authority; but how does he do it?  Let’s start with Satan’s seat.

Revelation 2:12-13 (KJV)

12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

When the Babylonian Empire was conquered by Medes and Persians, the Babylonian Priests escaped bringing their Satan worshiping religion with them to Pergamos, Turkey.  They were worshipers of the Moon god “Sin.”  This verse is actually a prophecy of the Ottoman (Islamic) Empire whose seat or base would be located in Turkey some 1200 years in the future.

How Satan gave the Ottoman Empire his power and authority can be explained in a very simple way that the vast majority of non-Muslim people are not aware of.  As we mentioned previously, the Head of Islam is called the Caliph or Khalifa.  The word Khalifa in Arabic means “substitute for.”  Muslims believe the Khalifa is the substitute for Allah on earth.  Therefore they must pledge their allegiance to him and do all he commands them.  In the chapter covering Isaiah 14 it was revealed that Allah is actually Satan.  This makes the Khalifa of Islam who is the substitute for Allah on earth, Satan in the flesh.  Thus the Khalifa of Islam has Satan’s power and authority.  This is verified by the teachings and doctrines of Islam which are totally contrary to the teachings of Christ.  Islam is the antichrist of the end times.

Revelation 13:3 (KJV)

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 

This wound spoken of here is not a physical wound to the head of a person, but rather a wound to the top position of leadership or authority.  This further verifies the Islamic Ottoman Empire is the 7th kingdom because all the other kingdoms have long since died, and you can’t wound something that’s already dead.  Since we know this is the 7th beast or empire, this would refer to the abolishment of the Islamic Khalifa on March 8th 1924.  This officially wounded the head of the beast and ended the Ottoman Empire.  While it ended the reign of the Khalifa or head of Islam, it in no way destroyed the religion of Islam.  The religion of Islam still existed, but it left a large geographical area whose population, customs, and religion is Islam without their leader, or head.  This would be similar to expecting the Catholic Church to go 90 years without a Pope.

However, on June 29th 2014, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the leader of ISIS, was elected by the majlis al-shura (consultative council or Shura council), representing the ahl al-hall wal-aqd of the Islamic State, to be their Khalifa.   In a video released July 5, 2014 Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi proclaimed himself Khalifa (or Caliph) of Islam and asked Muslims to obey him.  This healed the wound to the head of the beast and put Islam right back to doing what it did in the days of Mohamed and the Ottoman Empire. This included the murdering of innocent people, the stealing from, (booty) and making slaves of infidels.  These things will be further substantiated in the coming verses.

Notice the last part of the verse which states “and all the world wondered after the beast.”  The word wondered here means to marvel or be amazed as this was an Islamic terror group that was actually taking control of land and declaring an Islamic Caliphate.  Virtually, no one knew of this group until they controlled land in both Syria and Iraq.  It states that the whole world was amazed.  This is because this beast was kept secret by the press and those in authority until it (ISIS) controlled a good sized area of both Syria and Iraq.

Christians, who are not supposed to be of this world, should not have been amazed by the appearance of this beast. In His Word our Lord revealed all we would need to know to identify this beast.  Christians should have been the first to see and know what was happening.  Isaiah tells us who this beast is.  Daniel not only tells us who this beast is, he tells us when he will appear, what he will do and how long his dominion will exist.  Revelation also does all three of these in even greater detail, as the entire last part of this chapter of Revelation is totally devoted to this beast.  There is absolutely no reason why Christ’s servants should be amazed by this beast!  This beast has already come and gone and yet there are extremely few in Christendom that have any idea the leader of this beast kingdom was the Man of Sin (who they call antichrist) the Bible warned us about.

Revelation 13:4 (KJV)

And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?

It is only logical that this beast (Islam) should worship Lucifer (the dragon) since he is the driving force behind them.  Ever since Islam appeared on the world stage back in 632 A.D. it has been spread by the sword, resulting in the death of millions upon millions.  Even with the verifiable track record that Islam has, there are still many people telling us that Islam means peace and that Moslem’s are peaceful. However, we were warned about this also as Daniel 8:25 states “ And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many:  (Notice that it says “by peace” as peace is being used as the instrument by which many are destroyed.)

Just like the leopard kingdom of Alexander the Great, Muslim armies moved quickly and pretty much ran over everyone until they were defeated in 732 A.D. at the Battle of Tours.  Many historians believe if it was not for that loss, most, if not all the world would be Muslim. However, our Lord has different plans for them revealed in Revelation, so he did not allow this to happen.

“Who is able to make war with him?” Just as this verse states, the world is not able to make war with them.  The world is completely ignorant of the teachings of Islam.  The bulk of the non-Islamic world does not know that according to Islamic teaching, there can never be peace until every knee has bowed to Allah.  Muslims are never to stop fighting infidels (non-Muslims) until that day comes.  The countries of the world did not realize this when they took in millions of Muslim refugees from the Middle-East and Asia. They were totally ignorant of Islamic culture and history, so they gladly took in the Trojan Horse of Islam.  Islam has invaded and is continuing to invade every country in the world.  They are spread out and intermingled so much into almost every nation in the world that fighting and defeating them would be practically impossible.  Because of these tactics and the total lack of understanding the non-Islamic populations have concerning Islam, the world is unable to fight or even begin to stand up to Islam.  In fact, almost the whole world is now siding with Islam against Israel.  But not to worry, everything is going exactly as our Lord said it would.  Shortly the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who gave this Revelation, will make His entrance, and Islam will be defeated by the very one they say does not exist; Jesus Christ the Son of God.  He is the King of Kings that revealed this chapter to John and told us these things would happen long before Mohamed ever placed a foot upon this earth.

Revelation 13:5 (KJV)

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

The interpretation of this verse may seem like an oversimplification to many, but this phrase “a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies.” is recorded in both the Old and New Testament of the Bible.  That this beast was given means that God is going to allow it.  Because this beast’s mouth is speaking great things so often, it must be referring to the phrase Allahu Akbar that Jihadist Muslims always shout while killing innocent people.  Journalists have told us it means Allah is great; but what it really means is Allah is Greatest.  Meaning Allah is greater than the God of the Christians and Jews.  This has been cleverly hid from us by false reporting by the press, but it is blasphemy against God in the worst way, claiming Satan to be greater than God.

If you don’t know or haven’t formed this opinion already, Islam is the total opposite of Christianity.  It is anti-Christ.  Everything about it is an offense to God.  It is a religion of lies, deceit, pride, adultery, pedophilia, murder, hatred, rape and more rape etc. etc.  All this can be done with no feeling of guilt or remorse because it is done in the name of a false god.  Since they believe Allah is god, it is nothing for them to blaspheme the Holy One of Israel.

The phrase “and power was given unto him to continue forty two months” is saying that God is allowing this 7th beast of Mohamed to exercise control of the Promised Land for forty two months.  This covers a different period of time than was given in the forty two month prophecy of Revelation 11:2.  The prophecy of Revelation 11:2 was the amount of time that Gentiles would control the Holy City starting with the building of a pagan temple Dome of the Rock on God’s Holy Mountain in 688 A.D.  The 42 month time frame is the same, but the prophecy is different.  However, just like the 42 month period given in Revelation 11:2, this period of time is not 3½ years either.  There are 1279 days in 42 months with each day being 1 prophetical year.  The starting point of this equation is 637 A.D. when the Muslim 7th Beast took control of Jerusalem and then the rest of Palestine.  Our math equation with each of the 1279 days being a year looks like this.

637 A.D. + 1279 years = 1916 A.D.

Note: No day is added because we are not going from B.C. to A.D.

The solution to this prophecy reveals the date of the Sykes-Picot Agreement of May 1916.  This was an agreement that was worked out by two British and French diplomats, Sir Mark Sykes and Georges Picot. The Sykes-Picot Agreement involved itself with the partitioning of the Ottoman Empire.

The Sykes-Picot Agreement effectively handed over control of Syria, Lebanon and Turkish Cilicia to the French; while Palestine, Jordan and areas around the Persian Gulf including Baghdad went to the British. While neither France nor Britain actually owned these territories, they were to effectively control them at a governmental and administrative level.  Northern Syria and Mesopotamia were also considered to be an area of French influence while Arabia and the Jordan Valley were considered to be a sphere of influence of the British. Jerusalem was to be governed by an international administration.

The Graph below lays out both the 42 month prophecies.  One is located in Revelation 11:2 and the other is Revelation 13:5 which we are discussing now.  Since everything fits perfectly, this should serve to verify that both the time equations and participants are correct.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

Everything this beast says is opposite of what God says.  The Quran says that God has no son.  These words are inscribed in the walls of the Dome of the Rock: “God is only One God. Far be it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son.”  The only unforgivable sin in Islam is called shirk.  It is committed if you state the fact that Jesus Christ is the son of God.  They blaspheme God, His name, those that worship Him and His angels.  It was reported in an article concerning another Christian being crucified at the hands of ISIS that a Muslim in attendance at the crucifixion said, “another false Jesus dead.”  It is so sad that so many could be so wrong and so lost.

Revelation 13:7 (KJV)

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 

This should go a long way in helping to explain how a religion that has killed so many and is carrying out terrorist attacks all over the world is given a pass on all the immoral acts they commit. All this while they are secretly working to undermine non-Islamic nations.  Our Lord is allowing these things to happen because the nations of this world have turned their backs on God and have become just as immoral as this antichrist religion. 

Daniel 7:21 (KJV)

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

As was stated previously, anything that is given means God is allowing it.  The first part of this chapter including Revelation 13:7 applies to the Islamic conquerors from the time of Mohamed all the way until the second coming of Jesus Christ.  Daniel 7:21 speaks to the little horn which is applicable to the 8th kingdom, the return of the Babylonian Empire in the form of ISIS.

Both of these verses show us that Islam has been the major force persecuting Christians and killing infidels for almost 14 centuries.  Islam has been very successful in conquering many nations in the past and is in a perpetual process of doing so.  All kindreds, tongues, and nations are bending to the will of Islam.  This is evident today more than ever before.  Even though it is the Muslims that hate Israel and are constantly doing evil to this small nation, the growing trend is for the nations of the earth to side with the Muslims.  All the nations are yielding to Muslim demands to allow them to live under Muslim law, even though they are refugees from a foreign land and even though they are members of the same religion as the people that are blowing up and murdering innocent people.  This verse explains why Islam has been so successful.  It’s because Allah (Satan) is behind it.  God has allowed it because the world has turned its back on Him the same way Israel of old did.  We are fools that have tried to take God out of everything we can.  In turn He has given us up to our foolishness so that people can no longer discern right from wrong.  We have become so nonsensical that we don’t blame Muslims for all the murdering the Muslims are doing.  We call them radicalized Islamist’s as though they just pop up out of nowhere, when in fact they are only doing the very things the Quran and Hadith teach; the things which the Muslims of Islam have been doing for almost 1400 years.

Revelation 13:8 (KJV)

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

This verse should cause a chill to go up the spine of anyone who understands what this verse is saying.  All people that dwell on the earth whose names are not written in the book of Life of Jesus Christ are worshipers of Satan.  That goes for Muslims, Atheists, Hindus, Buddhists, Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists, etc. etc.  Religion cannot save you.  This is what the Word of God says.  If you have not asked Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and committed your life to following Jesus Christ and being His disciple, you are a worshiper of Satan and you might as well be worshiping Allah.  Jesus Christ will be returning shortly and if you do not know him, you will be experiencing Hell on earth and after that Hell forevermore.  The Good news is it’s not too late to seek Christ …. But don’t put it off!!

Revelation 13:9-10 (KJV)

If any man have an ear, let him hear.  He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

If you had any doubt as to who this beast kingdom is, this should settle it for you.  Here we have a stern warning from Christ to not only Muslims, but to all those that can hear.  All those that would persecute His children.  It’s followed by a description of what they do, which can leave no doubt as to their identity, and this was written more than 500 years before anyone ever heard of Mohamed.  It says if “any” man has an ear, let him hear; which is telling us that all are to listen to what is about to be spoken.  However, what comes next precisely describes Islam and what Islam has done for hundreds of years.

As was explained previously, Mohamed came to power and grew in popularity quickly by attacking caravans with his band of thieves.  They would take the women as wives and slaves for themselves or to be sold for profit to others.  The men either converted to Islam, became slaves, or were put to death. The booty was split up among Mohamed’s co conspirators.  The other Arab tribes saw how rich Mohamed’s followers were getting so they joined up; this is why Islam grew so fast. The exception was that they did not kill the Jews and the Christians (usually).  Instead they gave Jews and Christians an option to pay a heavy tax called a “jizya tax” to their Muslim masters in exchange for being allowed to live.  This is because God commanded this protection. This is why our Lord tells His saints to be patient as He will perform everything He said He would.  He gives this protection order in Revelation 9 and then gives the date that the protection will come off in Revelation 11.  Here is the protection order.

  • And it was commanded them (Muslims) that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

This is also confirmed in Revelation 11 where God speaks of his two witnesses, having a 1260 day period (which is 1260 years) of testimony where they have the power to bring on many plagues if they are harmed.

Revelation 11:7

  • And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

This is precisely what happened at the exact time God said it would happen.  Their time of testimony ended in 1948 when Israel became a nation again. (Refer to the chapter on Revelation 11 for further detail on this prophecy.)

The patience and faith of the saints refers to the time they will be persecuted and live with many hardships, but if they overcome and hold fast to their faith in the Lord, they will be rewarded.

The King of Babylon is Cast Out of the Grave

The fulfillment of the preceding prophecy took place in 2014, but it started taking shape when civil war broke out in Syria.  It was the culmination of what those in the west refer to as the “Arab Spring.” We will go into the upcoming verses with greater detail so that you can see just how accurately we have been informed of the things to come.  Hopefully you will see how and why the identity of the “beast coming up out of the earth” was ISIS and the identity of the little horn is Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the Man of Sin.  He was Satan in the Flesh the Bible warned us would appear in the last days.  If Christendom knew what to look for they would have seen this, but they have been taught to be looking for an antichrist that is going to come out of the European Union as a man of peace; make a peace treaty with Israel, and force everyone in the world to take his mark.  Nothing could be further from the truth and it’s extremely difficult to see and find something that doesn’t exist.  Satan has managed to blind Christendom to the point that the things we believe regarding Bible Prophecy are the complete opposite of what is actually going to happen.  The rest of this chapter will introduce you to completely different interpretations that make much more sense than the ones that are currently taught and accepted today.  These interpretations should have great credibility because everything you are about to read has already happened!!!

 The Man of Sin Revealed  (And Christendom is blind to it!)

Revelation 13:11 (KJV)

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  

“And I beheld another beast” This makes it clear that we are looking at a different beast or kingdom than those in the previous 10 verses.  The beast in the first verse rose up out of the sea, while this beast came up out of the earth.  The first beast was the 7th kingdom or Ottoman / Islamic Empire.  This beast is the 8th kingdom, which is the return of the Babylonian Empire spoken of in Isiah 14.  The King of Babylon cast out of the grave like an abominable branch.

The beast coming up out of the earth is an extremely rare happening.  When was the last time a country rose up out of the land masses of two bordering countries and declared itself an independent country?  A nation that established and held the territory of two other nations with very little resistance from either of the two bordering militias.  This just doesn’t happen and yet it occurred in the very place and at the very time our Lord told us it would.  Revelation and Daniel both tell us of this event, but Christendom has yet to make the connection.  The event spoken of here is the appearance of ISIS.  ISIS came up out of the earth between the countries of Syria and Iraq.  (Babylon)  After its formation the countries of Iraq and Syria still existed even though they covered much less territory then they did before ISIS came up out of the earth.  There were now three areas of land being controlled by different leaders where once there were two.  Also notice that this verse aligns precisely with Daniel 7:8 where it states that as he considered the 10 horns a little horn came up among them.

“He had two horns like a lamb” means that the territory he came up from was the land that was formerly held by two leaders or horns as we previously defined.  Since lambs are a weak animal, and these horns or leaders are like a lamb, it means the earth this beast will come up out of will be taken away from two weak leaders.  The 2 weak leaders (horns like a lamb) that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of ISIS came up from were……

  1. Bashar al-Assad of Syria: He was engaged in a civil war and was struggling to survive.
  2. Nouri al-Maliki of Iraq: government in complete chaos because of Sunni-Shiite struggle.

“He spake as a dragon” tells us that he will be Satan’s mouthpiece as well as Satan in the flesh.  Whatever this man speaks and does, it is going to be evil and it is going to be a lie.  Abu Bakr al Baghdadi was appointed Khalifa (or Caliph) of Islam and you now know that means he is the replacement for Allah on earth.  He is Satan in the flesh so he is quite literally Satan’s mouthpiece.  His speech and his acts are all the proof that is needed to prove this.

Daniel 7:8 (KJV)

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Almost every commentary you can put hands on will proclaim this little horn as the antichrist, so I doubt you will find anybody that would dispute this.  However, antichrist is not just one person.  Antichrist is anyone that denies Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  That would suggest that the religion of Islam would be a much better fit for this title.  The little horn would be better described as the Man of Sin, King of Babylon, the Lawless One, and Satan in the Flesh.

As was stated earlier, horns are leaders or people in power and the roots in this verse refers to the citizens these leaders (horns) rule over.  This verse is saying that 3 leaders will be removed from power by their own people (plucked up by the roots) as opposed to being conquered or overthrown by a foreign power.  It is after this happens the Man of Sin will be revealed.  Please be clear that this verse states these leaders are thrown out of power by their own citizens BEFORE this little horn comes into power.  The verse says “before whom there were.”

The 3 leaders that were plucked up by the roots were;

  • Hosni Mubarak of Egypt   (Forced out of office February 2nd, 2011)
  • Muammar Gaddafi of Libya (Forced out and killed October 20th, 2011)
  • Mohamed Morsi of Egypt  (Began ruling 6/30/2012 , and forced out of office 7/03/2013

After Mubarak of Egypt was overthrown by massive protests (plucked up by the roots) of the Egyptian people, Gaddafi was overthrown by his own people in a civil war.  Then a civil war broke out in Syria and it looked like President Assad would be the third horn plucked up by the roots before the King of Babylon appeared.  But Assad was still in office when Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi appeared on the scene and began crucifying and murdering people in the most horrific ways imaginable.  Everything being said about him sounded like the Man of Sin, but how could this be?  The third horn had not been plucked up yet.  Once again our Lord was correct.  There were two horns plucked up by the roots in Egypt.  Mohamed Morsi was plucked up by the roots one year and three days after being elected to office.  This is another prophecy Abu Bakr and ISIS match up with absolutely perfectly.

This prophecy cannot be made to fit anyone else now or in the future because of the time limitation our Lord placed on His return in Matthew 24:32-34.  This is the Parable of the Fig tree which reveals a starting year of 1917.  In this prophecy He said that there would still be people of that generation alive when He returned.   1917 was 102 years ago which leaves very little time before His return.  According to the 2010 U.S. Government census there were 53,364 centenarians (people 100 years of age or older) living in the United States.  That accounted for 0.0173 % of the population at that time.  With each passing year that percentage shrinks even more and eventually would reach zero.  (This is explained in greater detail in the chapter on Matthew 24)

Daniel 7: 20 (KJV)

And of the ten horns that were in his head; and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

The last 5 words of this verse are very important and can be used to describe, determine, and verify we have the right Man of Sin.  The word fellows is used to align one as a member of a group of people that have a common bond.  In this case we are talking about a very evil man, so we definitely will not be looking at the Boy Scouts of America or the YMCA.  The use of the word fellows would tell us he is not the king of any kingdom when he comes on the scene.  Before Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi became head of ISIS and Caliph of Islam he was considered an Islamist terrorist.  He was responsible for the deaths of many before he became the leader of ISIS or the Caliph of Islam.  It is very obvious the groups of fellows the Bible is referring to are the Islamic terrorist groups that plague the word today. The words more stout tell us that he is greater than the others in this group of fellows.  This could mean any number of things and we will have to uncover them ourselves because the Bible does not tell us how he is more stout.  This will not be difficult though, because in the case of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi there are many ways in which he is more stout than the other fellows.

  • More Stout in his domain. Unlike all the other terrorist leaders, he controlled a wide area of land and an entire army with much more military hardware than any of the others.
  • More Stout in numbers. Abu Bakr attracted thousands upon thousands of jihadists, many more than any other terrorist group previously.
  • More Stout in Management. Abu Bakr ran the area of a small country, selling oil to pay for his military complex and he instituted a very strict more stout form of sharia law.
  • More Stout in his Wickedness. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was kicked out of Al-Quida because he was too extreme for them.  He not only killed Christians, Jews and people of other faiths, he also kills Muslims that didn’t comply with his strict views on Islam.  He was too extreme for other terrorist groups. (It’s very hard to understand how someone is so wicked that a group responsible for the killing of thousands of people can call anyone too extreme for their membership.)
  • More Stout in his Arrogance. Unlike other terrorist leaders, Al-Baghdadi proclaimed himself Caliph of all Islam, not just the leader of ISIS.  He demanded that all Muslims pledge their allegiance to him.  This alone proves that this man is arrogant as they come, and quite capable of being the one “who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (II Thessalonians 2:4)
  • More Stout in his battle plan. The other terrorist leaders have only used the hit and run and take them by surprise military strategies.  Abu Bakr showed himself to be an expert in military strategy and propaganda.  His greatest weapon was the fear he put in others because of the ruthless killings and murders he and his troops committed.
  • More Stout in his Blasphemy against God. Abu Bakr used the despicable and torturous practice of crucifixion to murder thousands of Christians.  It was his way to mock God because he thinks himself and his Allah to be far above the God of Christianity.

All these are many reasons why Abu Bakr is the Man of Sin, but we will just count them as one.  While we’re on the topic of the Christians he has killed, let’s revisit Daniel 7:21.

Daniel 7:21 (KJV)

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

Notice it is not the saints waging war on him, but he is waging war on the saints.  It’s really not much of a war because the saints are not fighting him, but he slaughtered them in every way his totally reprobate mind could think of.  But he wasn’t only killing Christians, he was killing everyone that would not pledge allegiance to him, just as Revelation 13:16 (which we will get to in a moment) tells us.  Since we’re still on the topic of death, let’s look at Revelation 6, the 4th Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Revelation 6:8 (KJV)

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

“His name that sat on him was Death” surely fits Al-Baghdadi.  When you think of ISIS the first thing you think about is death because they just kept coming up with more and more horrific ways of killing anyone that would not pledge allegiance to him.  Then these gruesome murders were placed on the internet for the whole world to see.  There were even published accounts telling of terrorists escaping ISIS and joining other terrorists groups because he was killing Muslims, and there were even those that journeyed from other countries to join the Caliphate that escaped ISIS because they couldn’t stomach all the bloodshed.

“And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth.”  If you search the internet right now and ask what percentage of the earth is Moslem, you will find it is 1 in every 4 which works out to 25% or the fourth part of the earth.  Many translate the 25% to be the percentage of people the pale horseman will kill.  That is not what it says.  It says power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth as a king has power over the citizens of his dominion.  Actually, Revelation tells us that Islam is responsible for killing a third of all men.  Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has ordered Muslims all over the world that are loyal to him and live in non-Islamic countries to kill members of the militia, police force, Christians and Jews.  We watched the videos and news reports of many of these attacks, so we witnessed him exercising his power over Muslims on a worldwide basis.  Muslims consider themselves to be part of one large church which they call the “umah.” Umah is the Arabic word meaning “community.”

There are about 25 different names given to the antichrist in the Bible, but only two of the names relate to a geographical location.  He is called the Assyrian, and The King of Babylon.  These names also point to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as the antichrist and Man of Sin.

Isaiah 14:25 (KJV)

That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. 

Isaiah 14:4 (KJV)

“Thou shalt take up this proverb against the King of Babylon, and say, how hath the oppressor ceased! The golden city ceased!”

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was born in Sammara, Iraq.  This city is located in the very dark area on the map at right. This is where both the Assyrian and Babylonian Empires had their early beginnings.  This is also part of the very same area Abu Bakr controlled during the rise of his Islamic State.

If you take the time to look up all the different names the Word of God calls the Anti-Christ, you will find that all 25 of them fit Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi like a hand in a custom tailored glove.

If you still aren’t convinced the Man of Sin and Son of Perdition, is Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, we have saved the best for last. (There is a lot more, but let’s finish Revelation 13!)

Revelation 13:12 (KJV)

And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

This verse is simply stating that this “8th” beast is very much like the 7th beast.  The land area of this 8th beast is an area that the 7th beast controlled. The 8th beast practices the same religion, language and government as the beast before it.  This has already been announced for the whole world to hear.  Many commentators on many news networks have told us that ISIS is building a caliphate in which everything is done exactly as Mohamed did.  Abu Bakr himself has told the world that he is doing everything the same way Mohamed did.  He has instituted sharia law exactly as the Quran teaches it.  This is forced on everyone within his domain.  This is the first beast being brought back to life, after it suffered a deadly wound to the head.  This is once again telling us that Abu Bakr’s beast will be a mirror image of the beast that was before him.

Revelation 13:13-14 (KJV)

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 

This verse was written long before Islam or the Quran even existed. Yet the so called miracle being

singled out in this verse is one of the greatest miracles claimed by Islam.  It is called the Miracle of Iron.  It comes from:

Quran 57:25

And We also sent down iron in which there lies great force and which has many uses for mankind…

Iron is believed to only be capable of being made in stars bigger and hotter than our sun, and not in the smaller suns or planets.  Therefore, all iron on the planet must have come from meteorites; which is the fire come down from heaven on the earth.  According to Islamic teaching, Allah revealed to Mohamed that this iron sent down from Allah is very strong and has many uses.  Thus Mohamed is credited with the discovery.  There is a slight problem with this miraculous Islamic interpretation.  Mankind new of these things almost 2000 years before there was even a Quran.  However, if you examine Revelation 14 closely you will see that it says he deceives them by the by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast. This verse is saying that it is those that will fall for the lies of Islam that will believe these miracles.  The phrase “In the sight of the beast” is like saying in their eyes, or in the eyes of those that have not the love of God in their heart. (Beast)

Islam uses a lot of mathematical equations and all sorts of scientific discoveries that they claim were told about in the Quran many years before being discovered by man.  They don’t consider the fact that Lucifer was one of the highest and brightest of all the angels and would have known these things when he gave the Quran to Mohamed.  They don’t consider that the Word of God warned us about Islam and gave the history of Islam long before it or the Quran ever existed.  Who is the true God?  The one who lays claims to something, or the one who said he would lay claim to it hundreds of years before he claimed it?

The last part of verse 14 “saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast” is stating that because of all these miracles that they credit Allah and Mohamed with, they should build an empire in the same way he did.  This is the prophecy which states what we revealed to you earlier.  Ever since the Muslim Caliph was taken away in 1924, they have yearned and planned for another Moslem Empire.  This reason for the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood was to work to this end.  The Quran teaches that they are not to stop fighting until all the world belongs to Allah.  Muslims believe there can be no peace until all are Muslim.

Revelation 13:15 (KJV)

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast; that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

This verse unequivocally and undeniably proves that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the Man of Sin and Son of Perdition the Bible is speaking of.  He is the “he” in “And he had power to give life unto the image.”  Abu Bakr started with just a few as the Bible says, but he grew powerful enough to build a Caliphate and govern just like the Caliphs before him.  He made an image, (replica) of the beast before him, the beast that suffered a wound to the head.  The image of the beast speaking is referring to the commandments given in Mohamed’s Quran being carried out in this 8th beast just the way they were in the 7th beast.  Abu Bakr has announced to the world that he is doing everything the exact way that Mohamed did.

Remember, we told you that in Revelation 9:4 the Muslim beast was commanded to only hurt men that do not have the seal of God in their foreheads.  (Notice that the beast only marks but God seals)  Muslims were not supposed to hurt those that had the seal of God in their foreheads.  This is in direct reference to the Muslim jizya tax.  As you were informed previously, in prior times Muslims would allow Christians and Jews to live if they paid a jizya tax to their Muslim masters.  This verse is telling us that option is going to be voided or eliminated by this 8th beast kingdom that will be ruled by this Man of Sin.  It has happened exactly as the Bible predicted.  Abu Bakr does not give Christians or Jews that option any more.  They must pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi or be killed.  However, these next verses will show that it is not just the Christians and Jews that will suffer this fate, but all that are within his domain.  Again, exactly as the Bible predicted.

It is unfortunate that these verses that follow are probably the most speculated upon verses in the Bible.  Just as unfortunate is the fact that most of the speculations are not even close to correct.  In order to understand them correctly we are going to have to determine the meaning of a few important words. The key words in question here are all, mark, and right hand.

Revelation 13:16 (KJV)

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

The common interpretation is that all means everyone in the whole world.  This is not the case.  In this chapter the subject has been 2 beasts, or empires.  This Man of Sin, or leader of the last empire, can only force his will on all those he rules over.  In other words, the above verse is referring to all the people of his realm or his dominion, not the whole world.  He can attack and have his evil servants perform terrorist acts all over the world, but he cannot force people all over the world to receive a mark.  Next we need to know what this mark is.  The original Greek word in this case is charagma. According to Strong’s Greek Dictionary a charagma is a badge of servitude.  A badge of servitude or a brand of ownership demonstrates that one is a slave to, or loyal to whatever or whomever is named on the badge.  These have long been used in the Islamic world.

The picture of the apparent husband and wife shows this mark or badge of servitude displayed as it is worn in the world of Islam.   It demonstrates how this same type of band can be worn on the right forearm as well as the forehead.  In most cases this is some kind of a pledge or statement to Allah.  In the case of ISIS it’s a pledge of loyalty to the new Caliph.  This is the mark of the beast this verse is speaking of.  The Jewish Talmud prohibits Jews from wearing these type of bands; so this would not support the belief that the antichrist will be a Jew, but it does confirm that even in this custom it is antichrist or opposed to Christ.

This leaves us with the last word to define; the word arm.  Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionary tells us that dexios actually means the right side or the hand that usually takes.  So while the KJV Bible says right hand, the actual meaning would be on the right hand side of the body.  This would also support the mark as being a Muslim badge of servitude as it is only worn on the right arm and across the forehead.

For years people have debated what this verse actually means.  Most people believe that the so called antichrist will require everyone on Earth to have an electronic chip implanted in their right hand or forehead.  If they refuse, they will not be able to buy or sell.

If we would have just done a little research and discovered what the original Greek word for mark is and how it applies, there would not be so many wild theories out there.  Isn’t it ironic how this badge of servitude relates so strongly to Islam?  Yet because of our laziness and being content to believe what somebody tells us, most of Christendom is looking for some all-powerful, man of peace antichrist to come from Israel, Europe, or the Catholic Church.  What is really ironic is that at the same time Christendom is waiting for the so called antichrist to appear, the real antichrist was already here on earth for 1400 years and the REAL Man of Sin was on the news constantly for almost 5 years.  During this time he was often called the very name the Word of God said he would be called.  “Daesh, in Arabic,” which is Apollyon in Greek and Abaddon in Hebrew. The 3 languages the Bible was originally written in.

Satan truly has discombobulated our understanding of end times Bible Prophecy, so much so that in case after case what we have been teaching is almost the exact polar opposite of what the Word of God actually says.  Today we’re taught that the Man of Sin will come into existence as a man of peace when the Bible says he is a conqueror and a man of war who worships a god of war.  We are taught he will be a great leader when the Word of God says he is but a little horn.  We are taught that everyone in the world will not be able to buy or sell unless we have his mark, but the truth is that only those in his little domain were under this ordinance.

As we just stated above, “And that no man might buy or sell” refers to the people within his domain and not every person in the world.  If we combine verses 16 and 17, they tell us that nobody within his realm is going to be able to buy or sell unless they have the mark; meaning they pledge their allegiance to the new Caliph.

So with this verse saying that no man may buy or sell unless he has the name of the beast; it is saying that unless one exercises the character or way of living that this beast demands, one would not be able to buy or sell.  In other words, they will need to follow his rule or laws.  For example, drinking alcohol or taking drugs could lead to the death penalty in ISIS controlled territory, as this is against the rules of Sharia Law.  The strictest form of Sharia Law is what was imposed on all those within the ISIS domain.  Probably the best way to explain this is by simply saying that the citizens in his domain are going to have to be Muslim, pledge allegiance to the Caliph, and adhere to a very strict interpretation of Sharia Law if they want to live.

“The number of his name” is not what first comes to mind either, because in this case the word number is a little bit misleading.  If you research the words number and multitude you will find them to be quite interchangeable even though they are not exactly the same in meaning.  In fact you will find these two words are interchangeably used in the New Testament.  According to Webster’s 1913 Dictionary the word multitude should be used if the subject matter is dealing with a great number of persons, or a numerous collection of persons.

The subject in this verse is a beast which is defined as a person, group or entire kingdom of people that do not have the love of God in their hearts.  In this case it is a kingdom of people that are antichrist.  This means that the number of his name should probably have been “the multitude of his name.” If the interpreters of the King James Bible would have known the meaning of this portion of scripture they were interpreting, they would have used “multitude.”  This is the same problem we find in the Sign of the Son of Man that you will read later in this book.  Because interpreters do not entirely understand what the scripture is referring to, they choose the wrong word or one that has a tendency to mislead.  They most likely chose to use the word number because of the way they translated the last verse of this chapter which makes the number of the beast to be the literal number “six hundred three score and six.”

However, if you keep in mind that name means all those exhibiting the same type of characteristics or behavior or religion, the number of his name is really not that bad of a choice of words.  The number of his name would simply mean they number or innumerable quantity of people that are of the same religion as this beast.

If they would have used the multitude of his name it would have made this verse more specific as it probably was intended to be.  In this case it would have been more easily understood and it would have narrowed down the multitude that could not buy and sell from Muslim, to only Sunni Muslim.

As you will learn in chapter 6, a big split occurred in Islam when our Lord gave Muslims the power to kill one another.  This split occurred when the first Caliph Abu Bakr began killing all the Muslims that believed Islam’s next leader must be a descendant of Mohamed.  Those which believed this are called Shiite Muslims and they are the sworn enemies of the Sunni Muslims like Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the head of ISIS and current Caliph of Islam.

This verse is not saying that everyone will need to wear this mark or badge of servitude in order to buy or sell.  It is saying that in order to buy or sell, all those within the dominion of this beast will either need to ware his mark, follow his implementation of Sharia law, and believe exactly as he dictates.

This is exactly what we saw happening with ISIS, which ruled the same area of land that the old Babylonian and Assyrian empires once ruled.  Not only did they take away the Jizya Tax and required Christians and Jews to convert to Islam or die, they also required all Muslims to pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and follow a very strict form of Sharia law that was put forth by Mohamed.  This is precisely what these 2 verses are telling us.  These are the major differences between this beast and the first beast, just as the Bible tells us.

Hopefully you now see why this Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the Man of Sin, King of Babylon and Son of Perdition that Bible prophecy speaks of.  Not only is this man murdering all Christians and Jews that will not convert to Islam, he is also killing Shiite Muslims and even his own Sunni Muslims that will not pledge allegiance to him or will not follow his very strict form of Sharia Law.  This is exactly what Isaiah said the King of Babylon would do.

Isaiah 14:20 (KJV)

Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

Just as all of Gods prophecies are, this one is right on the money.  Abu Bakr has also destroyed his land and slain his own people.  Videos were put out so the whole world could watch as these Muslim destroyers destroyed priceless antiques that were thousands of years old with hammers, sledge hammers or any tool that would do the job.  This is also a common Islamic practice that was performed by the invading Muslim armies of old.  Anything that did not fit their religion was destroyed.  This left us with much less knowledge than we should have about many civilizations that were before us.

In regards to and slain thy people; it was reported multiple times in multiple articles and videos how Jihadists fled his army because the bloodshed and the killing was more than they could handle, and because he was killing other Muslims, which they believed was wrong for him to do.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The response here is directly credited to Walid Shoebat, author of the book “God’s War on Terror.”  If you have not read the book yet, I would highly recommend it.  It will give you a good understanding of Islam and a keen insight into prophecy.  Mr. Shoebat is the one who uncovered the real explanation of the 666.  He has solved the mystery of this number in a way that fits perfectly and puts together one of the biggest puzzle pieces of Bible prophecy.

Before we take on this last verse, we would like to make you aware of how the Bible was copied after God gave it to the prophets.  Since there were no Xerox copiers around and it was way more than 1500 years before the printing press, all copying was done by hand.  When copying the Word of God the scribes, which were the people that did the copying, were very meticulous in their work.  The Hebrew word for scribe actually means “to count.”  They counted all the letters and made sure everything was exactly the same as the scroll they were copying from.  If they made an error they had to start over.

They wrote down everything exactly as John saw it.  It is obvious he saw things in the visions that were in the future and things that were completely unknown to him; but again, he wrote them exactly as he saw them.  An example of this can be found in Revelation 12:14.  In this verse John says “and the woman was given two wings of a great eagle;” instead of saying “the woman was provided a jet airplane.”  John obviously had never seen an airplane before, so he described it in the only way he knew. The book of Revelation was given to the Apostle John in a vision or series of visions.  This verse refers to the planes that brought Jews back to Israel in the 1940’s.

According to Walid Shoebat, when the scribes went to copy this last verse in Revelation 13, they were not sure what to make of the last three letters of the verse on the document they were copying from. (Image 2 at middle right)  Since the verse is talking about the number or the beast they went with the Greek number 666. (Image 1 upper right)  However, the image that John probably saw in his vision was more like the crossed swords and the Arabic inscription “In the Name of Allah.” (Image 3 bottom right) Don’t forget Arabic reads from right to left.

It is very easy to see from the illustrations pictured here how these characters could easily be mistaken.  There are 3 things (maybe more) that would strongly support Mr. Shoebat’s explanation.

  1. The line above the “E like” letter in the middle of Images 2 and 3. The E like letters with the lines above them are the Arabic symbol for Allah. The symbol can be written in any direction and the line can be above, below, or on either side of it.  Any combination is the symbol of Allah.  This line is not used for the Greek number 60, so why would it be on a document that was copied precisely?
  2. The small tabs on the bottom of the X from the Codex Vaticanus. It is very doubtful that this figure would have been written this way and it demonstrates that extra effort was made to make it different than the normal X.  This X could easily be seen as being the crossed swords that the religion of Islam is known for.
  3. The 3rd and probably best reason is the fact that in ALL Bible verses the numbers are never written numerically. They are always written long form. This is a constant throughout all of Scripture, so why in this instance should these 3 characters be interpreted as numbers when nowhere else in scripture are numeric numbers used?

According to Mr. Shoebat it is probably the decision made about these symbols being a number that led the translators to interpret some of the previous words the way they did.  The phrase “count the number of the beast” could easily be interpreted another way and still be totally accurate.  The word count can also be translated to compute as in figure out, and the word number can also be multitude as was just demonstrated to you previously.  As the first verse in this chapter shows us, it is speaking of a sea, and a beast, both of which represent a large multitude of people.

So if the King James interpreters would have known the true identity of the beast and had understood what the mark of the beast was and what the last three characters actually were, they probably would have written the verse something like this:

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding determine the multitude of the beast: for it is the multitude of a man; and his multitude is determined by “in the name of Allah” and crossed swords.

When you stop and think about it, it makes no sense that anyone would need to count the number of the beast.  It would be useless information.  There are no religions that claim this number 666 as their own other than actual devil worshipers which are well aware of the fact they are worshiping the devil.
