Verse 2 of Revelation 8 introduces us to seven angels that receive seven trumpets.  These seven trumpets have been the subject of many theories regarding their purpose, their meaning, and when they will sound if they have not done so already.

One of the more common interpretations is that these are war trumpets since these chapters are full of verses describing death and destruction.  Others believe these trumpets will sound during a period called the great tribulation, which you have already read does not exist; at least not in the way they currently teach.  There is a whole lot of evidence that neither of these beliefs is correct, as will be demonstrated to you in these next few chapters.

However, there is strong evidence to show that these trumpets are warning trumpets that began sounding not too long after John penned the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.  Revelation chapters 8 and 9 should be looked at as brothers.  By this we mean, they both should be looked at together as they both speak to the same events.  Revelation 8 is a more general or broader description of the same 1300 year period covered in Revelation 9.  Even though there are five trumpets  that sounded in Revelation 8 and the first verse of Revelation 9, we will explain to you why none of the events described in chapters 8 & 9 started occurring until after the 6th trumpet sounded in Revelation 9:13.  It is the sounding of the 6th Trumpet that initiates the opening of the 1st Seal which is the release of the White Horseman of Revelation 6.

As you know from reading the previous chapter, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are four leaders of Islam.  Since we know who these individuals are, the days of the opening of the seals of Revelation 6 are known.  That may sound a bit incredible, but believe it or not, chances are high it will make sense to you before you arrive at the end of the next chapter concerning Revelation  9.  It should be evident by now, Islam is the main culprit of the book of Revelation as well as all end times Bible Prophecy.  The next two chapters we will be covering, Revelation 8 and 9, are chalked full of metaphors and history that one can only ascribe to Islam.

When it comes to metaphors, these next two chapters are full of what one could describe as the most difficult to interpret metaphors in all of God’s Word, especially if one does not know the subject of these metaphors.  However, our Lord did not just pull them out of thin air.  Each of them is used elsewhere in God’s Word, so we have a second witness as to how we should interpret these metaphors.  That is not to say there aren’t other ways to interpret these metaphors, only that there is a good basis for the interpretation given.

And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

This first verse of Revelation 8 is a continuation of chapters 6, 7 & 11.  As it is shown in the Prophetical Time Chart in chapter 3, half an hour is equivalent to 7½ days.  But since this verse states about the space of half an hour, it would mean a little less than 7½ days which would be seven days or a length of time between 7 and 7½ days.  These seven days may seem insignificant at first glance, but there is great importance attached to these seven days and this silence.

The vast majority of commentaries will tell you the reason for this 7½ day period of silence in Heaven is the preparation by the hosts of Heaven for the Wedding of the Lamb.  However, this cannot be because the actual ceremony of the Wedding of the Lamb takes place three days prior.  It is the date of the Rapture of His Saints.  This confusion should cease to exist once one understands the Feasts of the Lord.  Our Lord thoroughly planned all of this and revealed it to us, just as He did when He came to meet with us 2000 years ago.  Anyone that has read and studied the Word of God knows our Lord is organized beyond our comprehension; all creation bears this out.

This period of silence is caused by those in heaven witnessing the incredible destruction and loss of life that is taking place on the earth.  Just as the silence of a group of people seeing a devastating tragedy on Earth, so will it be in the heavens.  During these seven days, there may be silence in heaven, but it’s going to be Hell on Earth.  That’s because it’s during this same seven day period of time that the vials of the wrath of God are poured out upon the Earth.  Just as helpless observers witnessing a major catastrophe, those in heaven will be watching in complete awe.  Many believe these vials will be poured out during a 3½ year time of great tribulation, but both the Feasts of the Lord and the Book of Revelation do not support this theory.  The Book of Revelation proves our Lord will be completing the Rapture of His saints, the judgment of the ungodly, the pouring out of the vials, the Second Coming of Christ, and the punishment of those that took the mark of the beast in a 15 day (prophetical hour) length of time known as the Fall Feasts of the Lord.  As you will read in the coming chapters, every one of these days is precisely laid out in the book of Revelation.  (Chapter 17: The REAL Fall Feast Days as Laid Out in Revelation.)

The silence in heaven about the space of half an hour is one of three prophecies in Revelation which prove the Feasts of the Lord are the itinerary our Lord will follow at the end of days.  These same three prophecies also prove these feasts are the appointed meeting times between God and man because their solutions fall on the exact dates of these appointments as given in Leviticus 23.  These are the same Seasons or Feasts, which our Lord spoke of in the first chapter of the Bible, even before He created man.  We will explain these Feasts and the great importance of them in upcoming chapters.

And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

The seven angels are in the presence of God when they receive the seven trumpets.

Revelation 8:3 (KJV)  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

This verse says another angel, but this angel is not just any ordinary angel; because in God’s Temple, it was only the High Priest that served as the mediator between God and man.  This angel is purifying the prayers of all the saints and making them fragrant by mixing them with the holy incense before being offered on the golden altar which is before the throne; making an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. However, this angel is not just another angel; this angel can only be Jesus Christ fulfilling one of His many roles.

That our Lord and Savior is referred to as another angel multiple times in the book of Revelation demonstrates His humility.  The part He plays in Revelation is immense, and yet He remains as humble as He was when He walked among us.  This display of humility comes immediately after another show of humility hidden in the previous verse.  The prophecy we just discussed in verse one is the shortest prophecy of time in the whole Bible.  The solution to the prophecy of about the space of half an hour gives us the day of the Second Coming of Christ, which occurs on the Feast of Atonement.  The high priest only went into the Holy of Holies on the 10th day of the 7th month, which is the 10th of Tishri.  To further prove and leave you with no doubts this occurs on the Feast of Atonement we need only to look at the type of sensor used.  The everyday sensor used to burn incense was brass, but the sensor the priest used on the Day of Atonement was gold. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. 5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

This same angel, Jesus Christ, now takes the same censer that offered up the prayers from the saints on the golden altar, and fills it with fire from the altar and casts it to the earth.  This procedure is consistent with events taking place throughout the Bible.  God’s servants experience tribulation on Earth, which is often at the hands of heathens.  God hears their pleas and sends trials and plagues on those that persecute them, just as He did in the case of His chosen people when they were in bondage in Egypt.

I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

The same altar fires which consumed the divine sacrifice for sins now serve as the flames of God’s wrath on a world of sinners.  All those that refuse God’s loving plan of salvation will suffer the experience of His anger.

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Have you noticed that the wording used in this portion of scripture is much like the language used from the time of the plagues in Egypt?  There is a very good reason for this because plagues describe what is going on in the remainder of this chapter as well as chapter nine.  In fact, our Lord comes right out and tells us these are plagues at the end of chapter nine.  The difference is the scale.  The plagues of which these seven trumpets warn are exceptionally long in duration and of a much larger scale than the nine plagues of Egypt.  (No, there were not ten plagues of Egypt.  There were 9, then came God’s judgment when all firstborn of cattle and mankind in Egypt died.)  It is the immense scale of these plagues that made them unrecognizable to us, much like how the existence of super volcanoes was unknown until recently.

What is meant by this?  Everyone knows what a volcano is.  When we mentioned the word volcano, the picture in our mind is one of a triangular-shaped mountain with a cone (caldera) at the top where molten rock or lava flows out.  When these volcanoes erupt, they bring destruction and even death to the unprepared.  But few are aware of super volcanoes. These are volcanoes so large that its cone or caldera can be 25 or more miles across; so large we are unable to recognize them.  They are so large we cannot see them from any point on earth; however, they are viewable from space.  So it is with the immensity of the plagues spoken of here.  They are so large and cover such a tremendous length of time that we do not see them, even though we have had to deal with this plague on an almost daily basis for nearly 1400 years.

This first trumpet is a warning of what will eventually take place under the preliminary rule of Islam before it becomes a great mountain meaning a vast, powerful kingdom.  It would include the time Mohamed was conquering the Arab tribes in present-day Arabia before Islam began taking on the Byzantine and Persian Empires.  After Mohamed died the first Caliph of Islam, Abu Bakr spent his first year killing Muslims that believed a relative of Mohamed should be the ruler of Islam instead of him.  After securing his domain, he then attacked the other empires, which led to Islam becoming a “great mountain.”

“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail” In the Bible, just as in human experience, hail brings destruction.   But what is hail?  As was repeated previously, different waters in the Bible represent different groups of people.  Hail is water that is frozen or water that is hardened, just as man’s heart becomes when he repeatedly ignores the things that God has put before him.  It is people with hardened hearts that will not listen, and it’s these people that bring destruction to themselves and others, as you will see in these next few chapters.

“And fire” Represents trials or testing which are well known to those that belong to Christ.  However, these are more severe and executed in a multitude of different ways, such as plagues of pestilence, famine, and war.  The intention behind the execution of these plagues is the turning of lost souls to Christ, the only one who can save them.

“Mingled with blood” Would infer these trials will be so severe one might better describe them as judgment leading to death.  Actually, in this case, they both are correct because the death and destruction are going to come by the hand of man.

“And they were cast upon the earth” Normally; this would be an indication the hail and fire mingled with blood already happened before the time of the writing, but please remember these trumpets are warning trumpets.  God always warns before He judges.  Pharaoh of Egypt received nine warnings in the form of plagues before God judged Egypt.  Israel was warned an innumerable amount of times before being dispersed all over the world.

When you put death and destruction together and then add to it by the hand of man, you get a good description of what Islam has brought to this world.  The world has seen constant slavery, sorrow, death, and destruction ever since Mohamed brought Islam into this world. (Not saying that only Islam is responsible here, but it has undoubtedly contributed far more than its share.)

“And the third part of trees was burnt up” God refers to nations in the Bible as trees.  Israel He called a green olive tree (Jeremiah 11:16), and Lebanon was a cedar.  So this is saying that 1/3rd of the nations will be defeated or conquered (burnt up) in war.  When Muslims (Islam) conquer a land, there is nothing left of it.  A conquered nation loses its culture, language, and religion.  The defeated nation must take on or convert to  Islam, which requires its citizens to learn  Arabic.  Their customs and culture become Islamic, and their law becomes Sharia.  In essence, that nation is burnt up, and its traditions and culture forever lost to the world

Here you have the main reason why no good will ever become of any effort to help an Islamic nation.  No attempt to bring in democracy or any amount of economic aid will ever help the populations of Muslim countries unless you first conquer the ideology of Islam.  Muslims will always resort back to Islamic doctrine, which is a curse that has plagued them.  Because Islam hates and curses Israel, the God of Abraham has placed a curse on Muslims.

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee (Abraham) shall all families of the earth be blessed.

“And all green grass was burnt up.” Peter tells us that “all flesh is grass” (I Peter 1:24), but since this grass is green, it is referring to young or inexperienced youth or children.  The explanation for this comes from a practice employed by the Muslim conquerors.   When Muslims conquered an area, the siblings of those they conquered they indoctrinated into Islam.  Their children served in Islamic courts and the Islamic military.  Since they were too young to understand what was happening to them, “all” the green grass was burnt up, meaning destroyed as in eternal death.  If you worship any other God than the Holy One of Israel, you are heading for eternal destruction.  One can find verification of this in Mathew 24, where Jesus warned people:

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, (Dome of the Rock) spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

He warned them to flee to the mountains.  He then said in:

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Now you know why he gave this warning.  Can you imagine being a Christian in those days and having your children forced into this evil religion?

And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 

“And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain” As was explained earlier, in Mid-East jargon and the Bible, a mountain is a metaphor for kingdom or empire.  The bigger the mountain, the bigger the kingdom.  Since this one is a great mountain, it is a very large or powerful kingdom or empire.

“Burning with fire” As in the previous verse, fire is trials or testing, so a great kingdom that is burning with fire is indicative of the intense trials or testing that this kingdom is going to bring.  We have already established that the Word of God tells us this is the Islamic / Ottoman Empire.  Islam teaches that Muslims must fight until everyone on earth bows their knee to Allah.  Islam is in a constant state of war because they believe there can be no peace until the whole world yields to Allah.  Muslims are to fight until they attain this goal, which explains why everywhere you have Muslims, you will have conflict.  Fourteen hundred years of Islamic history make this undeniable.

“Was cast into the sea” In Bible prophecy, different designations or categories of people are symbolized by different types of waters such as seas, rivers, and floods.  Since a sea describes a very large body of water, it tells us this kingdom covered a large part of the populated earth or an area that sustained a large population.  In this case,  which concerns Islam, both are true.

“And the third part of the sea became blood”  Yes, this Islamic kingdom is responsible for the killing or murder of 1/3rd of the world’s population.  It is our Lord telling us this, and He does not lie, which means the religion of peace is nothing but a religion of deception and lies, not to mention murder.  One can confirm this figure in Revelation 9:15.  It may sound hard to believe when you first hear it, but there is any number of things you must take into consideration.

  1. Right now, one out of every four people on earth is Muslim. In God’s sight, these people are dead already. They have given the glory that God deserves to Satan.  Muslims are deceived by the two greatest deceivers of all time.  What is ironic is the Quran calls Allah himself the Great Deceiver.  Because Islam teaches deception, Muslims believe it is everyone else that Allah has deceived.  They have no idea it is they that Allah has deceived.
  2. Muslims are continually killing non-Muslims or what they call infidels because this is what the Koran and Hadith teach them to do.  Just look at what ISIS did in the Middle-East and what the lone wolves and terrorist groups are doing all over the world.
  3. If you know little of world history or the history of Islam, you are probably not aware of the previous 1400 years of killing, raping, and theft of which Islam is responsible.  Since the time they broke out of current day Saudi Arabia around 634 A.D., there have scarcely been two years go by that there has not been a major battle where thousands have died, and this is not taking into consideration all those that died because they would not bow to Allah or those forced into Islam. Since Islam came on the world scene, the only choices many have received are:
    1. Accept Allah (Mark of the beast) and die an eternal spiritual death
    2. Reject Allah and die a physical death.

And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

“And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died”  This is not speaking of physical death, this verse is saying besides the one-third of the sea (population) that died in the previous verse, that 1/3rd of those that lived converted to Islam and died an eternal spiritual death. (They had life, but still died) 

“And the third part of the ships were destroyed” The ships represent God’s witnesses, those that are saved by the blood of Christ.  Christians are not to be a part of the sea; they are supposed to be separate from it. They are supposed to be fishers of men pulling humanity out of the sea and into the lifeboat with them.  We know God was in Noah’s ship because he said, “Come thou and all thy house into the ark;” He did not say “go into the ark.” Notice how God uses ships as a symbol of those that belong to Him.  Ships can only be destroyed and not killed.  Muslims cannot kill those that belong to Christ; they can only destroy their physical bodies.

There is another viable meaning for ships here.  It comes from the Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Commentary.  We have not been able to use commentaries much as almost none of them are aware of the Muslim connection to Bible prophecy, but the JFB Commentary is a beneficial tool when studying the Bible.  They suggest this could refer to a corrupting of church doctrine.  Here is what they present.

“The symbolical interpreters take the ships here to be churches.  For the Greek here for ships is not the common one, but that used in the Gospels of the apostolic vessel in which Christ taught: and the first churches were in the shape of an inverted ship: and the Greek for destroyed is also used of heretical corruptions. (1Timothy 6:5).”

It could mean churches literally, or corrupted churches as Muslims either destroyed churches or turned them into Mosques for Allah. However, the other metaphors in this verse refer to people, and the actual Greek word for church means called out or those that belong to the body of Christ. (Christians)

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

“And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp” The first thing we need to do is determine what a great star from heaven is.  Most have interpreted this star literally as a meteor falling from the sky, and while it may be plausible or it may describe an event that may have looked like this, it is not speaking of a meteor or meteorite.  A star in Biblical terms is heavenly messenger.  That would include heavenly angels (good or evil) and disciples of Jesus Christ because we dwell in Christ.  We are not of this world; we are visiting earth, but our home is in heaven.  Since this verse says a great star, it would be an angel of great importance. Since this angel fell from heaven, he is a fallen or evil angel.

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

According to this verse stars are angels and the meaning of the Greek word used here confirms it. The Greek word used here is “angelos” which means “pastor or messenger.” When you put everything together, this star would refer to either Mohamed or Lucifer. Since Lucifer is Allah, this pastor or messenger would be Mohamed. This would agree with the Muslim Shahada which is the first Pillar of Islam. To become a Muslim you must state, “There is no God but Allah, and Mohamed is his messenger.” The prophecy of this fall is found in Isaiah 14:12, where he is called the Son of the Dawn: which is the brightest light (moon or star) in the sky before the sun rises.  (This is the same moon and star you see on every Muslim flag and above every Muslim mosque.) This verse states, “burning as it were a lamp” because like Lucifer, Mohamed was not a bright light, as there was no light in him.  They both were like the moon and the morning star (the planet Venus), which are the symbols of Allah. (Satan)  Neither of these symbols can produce light on their own, they can only reflect light from another source, or as Lucifer’s name means, they can only imitate it.  Islam has taken and transformed Mohamed and Satan into what they believe to be an angels of light, but the rules and guidance Allah gives to Islam prove otherwise.   Islam made it possible for Satan to transform into an angel of light and fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah 14:14, which tells us (Lucifer) has said in his heart, “I will be like the Most High.”

It is also plausible this “great star” that fell from heaven could be Satan. Before the era of Islam started in the late sixth century, the people of the middle-east worshiped celestial objects, the sun, moon and stars. Thus you find the crescent moon or the morning star on every Muslim flag or mosque. It can be said that Satan “fell” from heaven when Islam installed their first Caliph, who they believe to be Allah’s (gods) replacement on earth.  This would make him Allah or “Satan in the flesh” and also would explains the Apostle Paul’s writing:

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV)
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

“And it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters.” Don’t overlook, “And it fell upon the third part.”   In Biblical terminology, when one fell upon someone, it means they killed them.  As we mentioned earlier, different kinds of waters refer to different groups of people.

In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.

In this verse, it would seem that the third part of the rivers is saying this star killed one-third of the Gentiles.  If that be the case, then the fountains of waters in this verse would refer to Israel, or since the ten tribes are lost when this is taking place, it would be Judah.  Judah survived the ten tribes, and it was from Judah that the Messiah was to spring.

Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

“And it fell upon the third part of the rivers” One should take a closer look at the meaning of the word upon in this phrase.  All the different Bible translations checked used upon except the Geneva Bible, which uses the word “into.”  Knowing that the main subject of the trumpets is Islam and the star is Mohamed, and knowing how one-third of mankind (Gentile + Jew) is affected by Lucifer and Mohamed, the word into would seem a much better interpretation; especially when you look at what is happening in the world today!

And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

“And the name of the star is called Wormwood:” We know who the star is; so now let’s take a look at what our Lord is calling the recipient of this title.

Strongs Wormwood 894Webster’s 1913 Dictionary tells us wormwood is a plant having a bitter taste.  It also states that a volatile oil from this plant is a narcotic poison.  According to Strong’s Greek Dictionary, wormwood in the literal is bitterness, and in the figurative sense, it refers to calamity, which is great misfortune or cause of misery.

If you look at both these definitions closely, you might notice you can substitute the star is called Wormwood with the star is called Islam.  Islam is a religion of bitterness, and bitterness when not dealt with leads to hatred.  Just as these definitions indicate, when you get enough of this bitter herb, it becomes a poison and leads to death both physically and spiritually.  This bitterness and hatred are on full display in the Muslim world.  Their almost universal hatred of Israel, Jews, Christians, and even Muslims of a different sect is evident to nearly everyone.  As this verse explains, it’s because they have overdosed on this narcotic poison.  When an enemy of Islam dies, Muslims celebrate and leave the corpse of the enemy to lie in the streets to show their utter contempt for them.  There are many instances where Jewish hospitals have taken in injured Muslims only to be shouted at with obscenities whenever they enter the hospital room.  However, this condition may apply to Islam here, but this condition is not unique to Islam only.  Anyone can be susceptible to wormwood if they do not know how Satan works and do not have a love of God in their hearts.  This condition is visible in people all over the world.  It is the fulfilling of Matthew 24:12, which states, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall run cold.”

“And the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.” One-third of the people (waters) turned to Islam or took Islam as their religion.  The many men that died were killed by the third part (Muslims) that became wormwood because they were made bitter.  Whenever you ingest what Satan has to offer, it is not only going to kill you eventually, but Satan’s influence on you will be used to kill others.  Just as Eve did in the Garden of Eden and just as Mohamed did in his unquenchable thirst for recognition by men.  He took a crown that was not his and in so doing, is responsible for the deaths of billions.

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. 

“And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten” The two keywords in the first part of this verse are the sun and smitten.  The sun here as in other places in the Bible is indicative of truth and light as opposed to darkness and smoke, which are lies and deception.  Smitten does not mean death or destruction as the truth never dies.  Smitten means to inflict with a calamity, or in other words, something happened to prevent the truth from going forth.  Jesus Christ is the truth and the light of the world, and it is a terrible thing when something occurs that keeps people from receiving it.

“And the third part of the moon” The moon represents the world and false religion because for much of ancient history man has worshiped the moon.  That means not only was the truth (Christianity) oppressed, but even the pagan religions were also banned. Anywhere Muslims are in control, anything that cannot be made to fit in with Islam is either suppressed or destroyed.

“And the third part of the stars” This speaks to the Christian believers themselves, these are the stars we said are visiting earth, but their home is in heaven.  They were smitten, meaning that because of their faith in Christ, they might be beaten or poorly treated.  Islam allowed Christians to live if they paid the jizya tax, which kept them in poverty.  Islam looks at anyone that is not a Muslim as an infidel or second or third class citizen.

“So as the third part of them was darkened,” Christians were not allowed to spread the Gospel message as this was and still is punishable by death under Islamic law.  When Muslims darken a Christian, it means he is no longer allowed to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“And the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise” Many have interpreted this to mean that an actual day and night will be 8 hours less in length, but this is not the case.  The day here would represent the Gospel light or the truth.  If a third of the sun (truth) is not allowed to shine, then the day is reduced by one third.  It is telling us that under Islam, the light of the Gospel was not permitted to shine day or night.  Christians were and are not allowed to shine the Gospel light on anyone in Muslim nations, and neither were the false religions (night) allowed.   When Islam conquers, there is nothing else; everything must comply with Islam and Islamic teaching.  Anything else is not allowed.

SUMMARY OF THE FIRST 4 TRUMPETS

The prophetic descriptions given in this chapter are more of a generalization of things to come if man did not repent of his sin and seek the Lord Jesus Christ.  These trumpets are a warning and account for the early years of Islam.  It is symbolized by the hail, (destruction) trials and tribulation (fire) and blood (death) that was cast down on the earth.  The mountain burning with fire is the prophecy of what would become the evilest and deadliest kingdom ever to exist upon the face of the earth.  It is the Kingdom of Iron in King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the kingdom that breaks and subdues all things.  After Mohamed and his followers were forced out of Mecca, losing everything they had, they began to raid caravans.  They divided the booty among themselves and became very rich.  When others saw this, they joined up and soon what was a small band of men became an army of men that stole, murdered, raped, and made up rules as they went, all in the name of Allah.  Islam expanded very rapidly from its inception in 622 A.D. until the Battle of Tours in 732 A.D.  If it were not for that loss at Tours, France, many historians believe that all of Europe and perhaps the rest of the world would be Islamic right now.  As you can tell from what God has given us in these first trumpets, Islam and Satan have a very close relationship.  There is no doubt that it was Lucifer that gave Mohamed the Quran.  Mohamed claimed it was Gabriel, but there is little doubt it was Satan, the great deceiver, claiming to be Gabriel.  No angel serving a Holy God would give a man a book that made murder, rape, lying, adultery, and fornication acceptable in any circumstance, and certainly not in the name of God.

WARNING OF THE LAST WARNINGS

Nobody is going to be able to stand before the Lord and say you never warned me of these terrible things that were going to happen; or that I should not have bowed a knee to Allah.  This next verse is a warning of the final warnings to come!

Revelation 8:13 (KJV)
And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! 

“Woe, woe, woe” According to Webster’s 1913 Dictionary, a woe is “Grief; sorrow; misery; or heavy calamity.”  One would think that with all that you have just read, it would have to be considered one BIG WOE!!  Still, there is nothing to indicate this in these verses as this verse says, “Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!”   There can be only one explanation for this, and that is that none of these things had happened up to this point in time.  These first four trumpets must be a warning from God.  Remember, God always warns before he destroys, and since John penned the book of Revelation before or shortly after 100 A.D., these four trumpets must be warning trumpets.  The first four trumpets are warning trumpets, and the last three trumpets are Woe Trumpets, which are urgent final warning trumpets of the terrible events that are about to happen.  That fits the pattern of the number 7 in the Bible.  Seven is the number of completion and can  be broken down into 4 of one and 3 of another.  The first four trumpets are warning trumpets, and the last three trumpets are “Woe Trumpets.” They are urgent final warning trumpets.

After the fifth trumpet sounds, there is given a great deal more detail as to who the participants are and what they will do.  It could be God’s way of extending even more mercy since we did not recognize the first group of calamities and turn to Him.  Now He is making it even more evident to us by giving us more detail.  However, please take note that none of these warnings will be put into action until after the 6th trumpet of Revelation 9 has sounded:

And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

The sixth trumpet sounds and the command is given to “Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates” in Revelation 9:14.  The sixth trumpet sounding initiates the opening of the first seal in Revelation 6:1.  This information serves to verify the first five trumpets are only warnings because you can’t go back and sound the 5th trumpet again after the 6th because it would then be the 7th trumpet.  You could say that the fifth trumpet is both a warning and a woe trumpet since it is the last warning trumpet before the seals begin to open.  It warns us of a great deal of very specific woes which are now about to take place.  After the 6th trumpet sounds, we are given a total summation of the time of the empire, the total number of the army of the horsemen for all time, and the percentages of all the death they will cause during their reign.  It is the sixth trumpet that unleashes the first four seals which are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse of Revelation chapter 6 and puts everything warned about into action.  That shows it is the seals that unleash the calamities warned of in the trumpets.  The sixth trumpet begins the breaking of the first six seals and the seventh trumpet releases the seventh seal.  The relationship between the trumpets and the seals should now be quite clear.
