Is the return of our Lord Jesus Christ an “Appointed Time” that we can know, and can it be proven? The answer is, absolutely! Are there specific verses or chapters that point us to the month, day and hour of this event? The answer is, absolutely! If this really is true, why isn’t this common knowledge and why don’t the seminaries and ministers know and teach this? Why are the congregations constantly told nobody can know the time of His return?
All these things are covered in the free book that is this website. All the chapters are listed in order at the end of this introduction. Please take the time to read the chapter titles as well as the chapters because there are a great deal of things you need to know. With each passing day time is growing shorter and shorter before our Lord returns. You will find answers to many questions you may have on this website. You will find a verse-by-verse commentary in the Bible and book chapters listed below. Most everyone that has read the complete book has said they have a completely different outlook and understanding of Bible prophecy, especially the book of Revelation. With that being said, let’s get to the subject at hand.
Why Doesn’t Anyone Know the Appointed Time of Christ’s Return?
If you have spent any time at all in a Christian church listening to a Sunday school teacher or a sermon, you probably heard it said; “nobody knows the time of Christ’s return,” and “It could happen at any moment.” These statements are universally taught and accepted in almost all the denominations, and it is what the vast majority of Christians have been told to believe.
But what if they are wrong? What if the Bible prophecy taught in the churches is wrong? What if our Lord has told us when He will be returning and our teachers have misinterpreted or completely missed what the Word of God is actually telling us? What if our Lord has revealed the time of His return and is expecting us to be ready and waiting?
Have you ever questioned this or studied the Word of God to make this determination for yourself, instead of just listening and accepting what your teacher told you? What else is there in the Word of God that backs up the teaching that we can’t know the day or hour of Christ’s return?
The goal here is not to fill your mind with doubt, but rather to open your mind to another possibility that has far more proof going for it than the “It good happen at any moment” crowd could ever dream of finding. All they have going for them are the versus in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 which refer to the return of Jesus Christ for His saints. Let’s take a look at their strongest argument and why so many people interpret it the way they do.
Mark 13:32-33 (KJV)
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
If one were to just read this and take it on face value, it definitely says that no man, no angel, and not even the Son knows the day when He will return. Only the Father knows the day and hour. This was a 100% completely true statement at the time our Lord said it. Even He did not know the day and hour He would be returning.
Now, take a minute and think about what you just read. Don’t you find it a little strange that our Lord would not know when He would be returning? This means the only way He can know when to return is if and when the Father tells him. If the Father does not tell Him, He will never be returning. That means in order for Him to return, something has got to change….. Hallelujah!!!, something did change and it is most fittingly recorded in the very first verse of the book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:1 (KJV)
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Why does it say “which God gave unto Him”? Would you not believe it if it only said “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.”? There is a reason for this because God does not waste words. If it has no significance, it would not be there. The reason it is there is to show us things have changed since our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ spoke the things stated in Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32-33. No longer is the Father the only one who knows when the Son will be returning. The Son now knows the year, month, day and hour He will be returning. The great news is the Son has already told His saints that once He knows, He will tell us. Here is what Christ said to let us know He will not keep us in the dark when it comes to things to come.
John 16:13-14 (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
The Spirit of truth here is the Holy Spirit. Certainly the return of our Lord Jesus Christ is included as one of the most important things to come. Please take note that it says “All things that the Father hath are mine.”
John 15:15 (KJV)
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Why does He call us friends? Because a servant doesn’t know what the master is doing, but ones friend does. Why would our Lord want to hide from us one of the most important days in our lives as well as in the history of the world? The quick answer is “He did not nor would He.” Isaiah 42:9 (KJV) tells us “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
Here is another verse found in Mark chapter 13 that is completely ignored by those who believe His return for His saints could “happen at any moment.”
Mark 13:23 (KJV)
But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Notice that in a verse where our Lord declared to us that He “foretold us all things;” He began it with a warning. “But take ye heed” is much like saying “take note” or “be warned.” Don’t you find it curious that He would make this statement before telling us He has foretold us all things? As you will see, there would be no need to warn us if it were not that important we get it right or if there were no consequences for our getting it wrong.
“I have foretold you all things” covers a lot of things, but foretold refers to things in the future. Despite this, the church of today teaches He has not foretold us all things. How is this not calling God a liar? Is this not a repeat of what Israel did when our Lord told them to go in and take the Promised Land, but instead, they appointed 12 spies to go in and search the land? How can you not trust what our Lord says yet believe you will not run into problems because of it? Almost all of Israel was not permitted to enter the Promised Land because they did not trust what He said. Much the same will happen to present-day Christendom regarding the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ. Most current-day Christians will miss it because they did not believe He foretold us all things. (Confirmed in Matthew 24:48-51) Just about all of Christendom does not believe that He informed us of one of the most important days of our existence. Christendom does not even believe the words of the Apostle Paul when he warned us we would get the doctrine (teaching) regarding the Rapture of His saints wrong.
Paul prophesied in II Thessalonians 2:1-3 that the doctrine of the end time’s church regarding the Rapture and Second Coming of Christ would be false, but you will not hear that coming from any sermon no matter what your denomination. If you were to present this to a present-day believer, they would probably tell you Paul’s warning was to “other denominations” when in fact, he was referring to the almost universal teachings of today.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
First, you need to be aware that the “falling away” in verse 3 is the Greek word “apostasia,” which means a “defection from the truth” or false doctrine. Paul wastes no time in making it crystal clear the subject of these verses is the “coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered unto Him.” That makes the subject of the false doctrine the Rapture and Second Coming of Jesus Christ. To try to make the subject of the “apostasy” something else is intellectually dishonest because the first two verses establish the context and subject. The “Let no man deceive you by any means” suggests you need to research this for yourself because it is far too important to accept without questioning what someone else tells you as fact. This is how the interpretation of Bible prophecy became “apostasia” in the first place, leading the vast majority of Christendom to believe Christ could return at any moment.
It is what Paul says next that will further prove His prophecy true and our present-day teaching false. Paul states, “that day will not come except there come a falling away first, and the man of sin be revealed.” Christendom does not know it, but the Man of Sin has been revealed. The Word of God tells us when to look for him, where to look for him, what he will say and what he will do. It even tells us what he will be called, and Christianity completely missed this “Man of Sin” and still has not made the connection.
Revelation 9:11 (KJV)
And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
The Bible was written in three languages, Hebrew, Arabic, and Greek. This verse gives us what the Man of Sin will be called in two out of the three languages. If you translate it into Arabic it is the word Daes or destroyer, or one who crushes. This is what Arabs called Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the Caliph of Islam and leader of ISIS. Muslims believed him to be their “messiah” which would make him the anti-messiah and Man of Sin, Satan in the flesh. If you add an “h” to the end of Daes you have Daesh which is an acronym for the Arabic phrase al-Dawla al-Islamiya al-Iraq al-Sham (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) which is another name for ISIS.
So not only has he been revealed, he already set up his kingdom, ruled it for 3½ years, and went into hiding. He committed suicide when confronted by U.S. Troops and His antichrist kingdom went into perdition just as predicted in Dan. 7:26 and Rev. 17:11. “Perdition means destruction, but not total destruction. This is a clear signal that this kingdom will make a comeback. One of the very last prophecies before Christ’s return for His saints is happening right now. This “anti-Christ” last days Babylonian kingdom is making it’s comeback. To verify this, do a google search for “ISIS is back..” You will find lots of articles reporting on this Biblical prediction. There were at least 3 different video reports with people of different nationalities calling Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi what the Word of God called him 2,000 years ago.
Here is just a small list of answers you will find in the chapters of this book.
- The identity of the REAL antichrist (It’s not just one man.)
- The identity of the REAL Man of Sin, Assyrian, King of Babylon, Lawless One and Son of Perdition (This is just one man)
- The REAL identity of the two witnesses of Revelation 11. The Bible tells us exactly who they are, yet the overwhelming majority of Christendom believes they are two prophets.
- The REAL identity of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
- The REAL identity of the 4 Angels that are bound in the great river Euphrates
- The REAL identity of the 4th Kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream
- The REAL date each of the 7 Seals of Revelation were and are to be opened. Yes, once you have a basic understanding of the book of Revelation, you will find our Lord has provided us with precise enough information to understand and know even these dates.
- The REAL answer as to what is the Sign of the Son of Man. This is EXTREMELY important! If you take nothing else from this book, please let it be this. Where & how you spend the 1000 year millennium may very well depend on your understanding of this and how it relates to the Parable of the Ten Virgins.
- The “CPR” for mankind that is found in the Feasts of the Lord.
- How the Fall Feasts of the Lord are built right into the book of Revelation. This is rock solid proof that present day teaching regarding the Rapture and Second Coming of Christ are woefully lacking and incorrect to the point that Christendom has no idea why, when or what is coming.
- The REAL periods of time described as an hour, a day, a month and a year. It is the prophecies of time that verify many of the findings listed above.
- What the events these prophecies of time reveal. (They are not at all what you think they are!)
- The REAL “High Sabbath” in the New Testament that Christendom has totally ignored, and the false doctrine that came from it.
- The REAL year of the Spring Feasts of the Lord. You may not understand the significance of this right now, but it will be explained later. The 70 weeks of Daniel 9 prophecy confirms this as well as other witnesses.
- How Daniel 12:1 and Revelation 6:9-11 reveal where we are in regard to the “Rapture of His Saints.”
